An event to distribute valuable educational supplies to selected Grade 5 students from the Velanai Education Zone was held today at 1:00 PM at Velanai Central College.
This initiative was organized by the Kayts Police in collaboration with the Colombo Lions Club.
During the program, school bags and essential learning materials were handed over to 100 students, ensuring they are better equipped for their education.
Additionally, a commemorative memento was presented to the Officer-in-Charge of the Kayts Police Station as a token of appreciation for their support.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Northern Province Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (SDIG) Mr. Tilak Danapala as the Chief Guest.
Other notable attendees included J.P.S. Jayamaha, the Officer-in-Charge of the Kayts Police Station, school principals, teachers, parents, and students.
