Former Army Officer Alleges Ranil Wickremesinghe’s Involvement in Youth Killings

A former Sri Lankan army officer has alleged that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe was linked to the brutal killings of youth during past uprisings in the country. According to the officer, Wickremesinghe, who was serving as the Minister of Youth Affairs at the time, had direct involvement in the incidents.

Speaking to a media outlet, the ex-military officer claimed that young individuals were tortured and executed in camps, including the infamous “Pattalanda” torture site. He further asserted that he had personally witnessed these atrocities and even photographed some of the events before the killings took place.

Calling for immediate action, the former officer urged authorities to launch an urgent investigation into Wickremesinghe’s alleged role in these crimes. He emphasized that the truth about the mass murders must be exposed and justice must be served.

These shocking revelations have reignited discussions about Sri Lanka’s dark past, raising serious questions about accountability and justice for the victims.
