Myanmar Earthquake Claims 144 Lives, Hundreds Injured


The devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar has claimed at least 144 lives, according to reports from the country’s military.
 
With a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale, the powerful tremor left hundreds injured and caused widespread destruction. The number of casualties is expected to rise as rescue operations continue.
