Batticaloa – A wild elephant attacked a house in the northern region of Vadamunai, a border village in Batticaloa, late Monday night (Dec 2), causing part of the house to collapse. The couple sleeping inside narrowly escaped unharmed and fled the scene, according to Valaichenai police.
