Batticaloa, Sunday (Dec 8): Tamil Arasu Katchi (TAK) spokesperson and Member of Parliament, G. Srinesan, rejected the Democratic Tamil National Alliance’s (DTNA) proposal for TAK to join as the eighth party in their coalition. Addressing a media conference at the Batticaloa Media Center, Srinesan emphasized that electoral strength, not the number of parties in a coalition, is the key to political success.

A tragic accident occurred on Saturday night (7th) at around 10 PM in Kayankuda along the main Karadiyanaru road when a pedestrian was hit by a jeep driven by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Karadiyanaru Police Station.
